The Group Therapy Centre - Cambridge

Is group therapy right for me?

People from all sections of the community come to the Centre: employed, unemployed, professionals, ethnic minorities, young adults (18+) middle-aged, older people (our most senior member to date is 79). What everyone has in common is some form of psychological and emotional distress, ranging from mild to moderate, to severe and enduring.

Anyone from any social or economic background can benefit from group therapy because a group can represent the 'family' or 'society' in microcosm, and can 'mirror' people and events in our own lives. The group you actually join is decided between you and your therapist when you come for an initial free assessment.

We offer the following therapies:

Arts therapies
Group Analysis
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Schema Focused Therapy
Gestalt (body/mind)
Family Systems & Trauma therapy
