The Group Therapy Centre - Cambridge

Some success stories

A question we're commonly asked is "Will I feel better if I do group therapy?" The answer is, most probably. We track everyone's progress in therapy and last year 64 people 'got better' and left the Centre to lead much more fulfilling lives than when they first came to us. Many former group members write in to let us know of their experience of life before, during and after therapy. Here are just a few of their comments:

"Very, very constructive and useful...the environment was comfortable and [the therapist] was very skilled and articulate...a real anchor for the success of the group."

"The Group Therapy Centre is excellent – it’s difficult to see how it could be improved."

"I have been very impressed with the service…"

"I rate the Group Therapy Centre very highly."

"The therapist was exemplary…"

"My interaction with fellow group members is helping my self-esteem and will help me deal with stress."

"Thank you…I don’t think I could do without it."

"Your service is very important."

"The person I had a couple of (individual) appointments with before starting therapy was very good."

"I recently finished my group therapy and am much happier now than when I started."

"The therapy has been an important aid to my recovery. I am very grateful to you for this."

"The group leader was extremely good, and made a very safe environment."

"Thank you to all at the Centre for the wonderful job you do."

"I was angry, depressed and very negative. Now it all seems to be a thing of the past.”

"A marvellous experience which I wish could be available for all. Also extremely good value."

In the end, just ask yourself a few questions: Am I ready to get help? What's holding me back? What have I got to lose?
